Mr. Ortiz is a proud native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he was born and raised. To better serve the community that raised him, he decided to pursue a career in law.
Mr. Ortiz earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of New Mexico in 2019, and his Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico School of Law School in 2023. While at the School of Law, Mr. Ortiz participated in several student organizations and achieved the Dean’s List and Honor Roll. Mr. Ortiz taught high school students at his alma mater about their constitutional rights through the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Program. Upon graduation from the School of Law, the Faculty recognized Mr. Ortiz as the recipient of the State Bar Bankruptcy Award for his work in transactional law, and the Clinical Honors Award for his service in the Economic Justice Clinic.
Mr. Ortiz serves on several boards, including the Governing Council of South Valley Academy. In addition to practicing law, Mr. Ortiz works with his family’s business, which specializes in residential construction throughout New Mexico.
Mr. Ortiz began his career at a prominent New Mexico law firm, where he gained experience in real estate and business transactions, estate planning, and probate. Mr. Ortiz joined the Moses Law Firm in 2025, where his practice focuses on general civil litigation, contracts and business law, real estate, estate planning, and probate.
