Ms. Edwards graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law in May 2010. While attending law school, she was Citations Editor for the Natural Resources Journal and a writing tutor for first-year law students. Upon completion of law school, Ms. Edwards worked as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Michael E. Vigil of the New Mexico Court of Appeals before beginning her practice at a firm specializing in creditor’s rights. Since starting private practice in 2011, Ms. Edwards has expanded her practice to include appellate work and has successfully argued to the New Mexico Supreme Court in the matter of Charter Bank v. Francoeur, 301 P.3d 859, 2013-NMCERT-4 ( writ of certiorari as improvidently granted after oral argument), successfully briefed Bank of New York v. Romero, 2016-NMCA-091, 382 P.3d 99, and argued Bank of New Yok Mellon v. Luu, 2019-NMCA-053, 448 P.3d 625, and CitiMortgage v. Garcia, 2023-NMCA-081, 538 P.3d 89, among numerous other appeals. Ms. Edwards was a recipient of the 2022 American Legal & Financial Network JPEG Picture the Future Award for stand-out young professionals in the mortgage default servicing industry and has published Lost Note Affidavit in New Mexico, 9 ALFN Angle, Issue 6, 24 (2022).
At her current practice as the Moses Law Firm, Ms. Edwards specializes in banking and finance law, creditors’ rights and collections, real estate, business contracts and litigation, general civil litigation, and appellate work. Ms. Edwards is admitted to practice before all New Mexico state and federal courts, including bankruptcy court, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Before pursuing her legal education, Ms. Edwards graduated with university honors and summa cum laude from the University of New Mexico, receiving double bachelor’s degrees in psychology and fine art with a painting emphasis. In her spare time, Ms. Edwards serves as the Vice-Chair of New Mexico Modern, an organization dedicated to preservation and education regarding New Mexico’s mid-century modern architecture and design, and she enjoys multiple hobbies including antiquing, reading, genealogy, cross-stitching, hiking and spending time with her friends, family, and three dogs.
